Kristi Charles
Kristi obtained her Michigan Real Estate license in 1999 because she was already actively investing in and improving multiple student rental properties while a student at Eastern Michigan University. She studied Real Estate as well as Historical Preservation before graduating with a B.S. Degree in Psychology from EMU. Shortly after, she began a successful career in residential real estate listing, selling, and representing builders which lasted over a decade until returning full time to her passion of property management in 2010.
As a property manager for one of the largest privately held nationwide firms, Kristi focused on the stabilization, rebranding, and repositioning of blighted apartment communities across several regional markets. These projects took her to Ann Arbor, Commerce Township, East Lansing, and Saginaw where her team was honored to be named “Saginaw Township Business of the Year” for their hard work and transformation of the Township Square Apartments.
Kristi’s passion is realizing the investment benefits of a hands-on project through capital improvements, proper marketing, and extraordinary asset management. This passion spills over into a hobby of flipping homes, vacation rentals, and furniture in her spare time. She loves exploring Michigan, camping, and hiking with her husband and three dogs when not at home at the lake. Kristi and her husband enjoy volunteering with Kiwanis, Meals on Wheels, and Make-A-Wish when possible by refurbishing furniture for Kiwanis, Participating in the Christmas Home Tour benefitting Meals on Wheels, and supporting her husband’s decade long string of biking in the Wish A Mile fundraiser each year.
Whether as clients in her real estate business, residents & owners on the property management side, or through community philanthropy she really enjoys building relationships with and serving people at the end of the day!
